Happy 4/20
This is crazy….I can’t believe a psychiatrist would perscribe a powerful, dangerouse anti-psychotic to someone who doesn’t have psychotic symptoms.
Read about it here:

@ricdelgado80
I actually just recently checked out my first self-help book from the library. but no i dont.

Well, you know, I …
Well, you know, I don’t necessarily blame others for thinking there is something wrong with people like us (I actually had to get Baker Acted because I got so frantic that I was spitting on people and screaming uncontrollably), but truthfully I’m understanding that it’s just that we’re more sensitive to the world around us. In the past we’d be philosophers, now we’re just crazy people. Do you study Buddhism, Positivity, or Self-Help at all? It helps me a lot.

@ricdelgado80 Thats …
@ricdelgado80 Thats horrible! I’m on a lot of medications too. I was perscribed two of them while in the psych ward. They just started giving them to me. Another time, they told me to take a pill when I was having an anxiety attack, the next thing I know, a lady is waking me up five or six hours later. They never told me or my mom what it was.
I agree with you there is something wrong with this field right now.

I recently had a …
I recently had a manic episode (I’m bi-polar), that included intense hallucinations and compulsions, etc., and my psychiatrist put me on Zyprexa, another anti-psychotic medication, by telling me it was a “sleep aid”. After taking it for 3 days I knew there was something seriously wrong with it and stopped immediately. There is definitely something wrong in the field of psychiatric medicine right now, because being off it I feel fine, I just know I have to be aware of my disorder.

@fantasy0coach …
@fantasy0coach Delusional disorder was previously called paranoid disorder. The changed the name. I never found out why, but it probably has to do with the word “paranoid”. It sounds a little harsh. “Delusional sounds more like an illness, not a feeling. People may have been offended by the name paranoid disorder because paranoid is technically a feeling, delusions are a mental disorder. It’s probably more appropriate.

Delusional disorder …
Delusional disorder sounds like paranoia. Unfortunately psychologists, like doctors, can often be bought by pharmaceutical companies.
